I'm Magenta Marshall, your local Member for Rockingham.
I’m Rockingham born and raised, and I love our community. I grew up in Cooloongup and live in Waikiki with my husband Jake, who teaches at a public high school.
I went to school in Baldivis and was the first person in my family to go to university, studying Asian Studies and Politics and International Relations at Murdoch University. During my studies, I spent a semester abroad studying at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia where I volunteered to teach English at a local school for underprivileged students.
I’m passionate about sports and a keen football (soccer) player. My first job was at the Rockingham City Football Club, and I still play and coach at the Baldivis Districts Football Club.
It is an honour to represent the community that I grew up in and the people I love dearly. I am committed to working hard, listening to the needs of our locals and fighting for a decent life and job for all in our community, for generations to come.
